Registration

Because of limited seating and possible changes in workshop location, all potential participants must schedule appointments prior to the workshop date.

NOTE: If you show up at a workshop without prior registration, we may not be able to accommodate you. You will have to reschedule for a later class.

Another option is to take the protected species workshop online. The course includes species identification, protected species handling, and federal regulations. The online course is currently only offered in English. Vietnamese, Korean, and Samoan language versions will be available in the near future.

To register for a classroom workshop or to take the course online, send an e-mail to piropsw@noaa.gov and provide your name, the vessel you represent, whether you are a vessel owner or operator, and a valid phone number and mailing address.

For the online workshop, after we receive your e-mail, we will provide you with the web site address, your user name and password. Once the online course is finished, you should be able to print the certificate of completion. Your certificate of completion can serve as proof for one trip that the class was completed until you obtain your new card.  You can choose to have the card mailed to you, or you may pick it up at PIRO.
