The Grants Program is a component of the Operations, Management and Information (OMI) Division of PIRO in Honolulu, Hawaii. Federal Program Officers (FPO) ensure the timely processing of grants and cooperative agreements, from the initial solicitation through post award management. Technical assistance is provided by staff from both the PIRO and the Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center (PIFSC). FPOs work closely with the NOAA Grants Management Division (GMD), technical monitors and grant recipients throughout the award to facilitate the successful completion of project objectives. The PIRO Grants Program presentations are slideshows created to guide award recipients through the application process (Grants.gov) and management of grants (Grants Online). Watch for announcements of Grants Online training opportunities in The Grant Fantastic newsletter, your place for tips and highlights of current events.
The Grant Links section connects applicants to pertinent grant processing websites. Important activities for the grant application process include Central Contrator's Registration (CCR), DUNS registration and application package downloads at Grants.gov. Once awarded a NOAA grant, all grant management actions such as report submissions and modification requests will be processed through Grants Online.
