NOAA Fisheries Regional Office Moving to the NOAA Daniel K. Inouye Regional Center on Ford Island

February 14, 2014

NOAA Fisheries Pacific Islands Regional Office (PIRO) is moving to the NOAA Inouye Regional Center (IRC) at Ford Island beginning February 26, 2014. The move will be completed on March 5, 2014, when we close our present offices at 1601 Kapiolani Boulevard, where we have operated for over 10 years. We will join 15 other NOAA offices in the new facility where over 700 staff will work to carry out NOAA’s mission.

Our address and phone numbers will change:
New address:
NOAA Inouye Regional Center
NOAA Fisheries Pacific Islands Regional Office
1845 Wasp Boulevard, Building 176
Honolulu, HI 96818

New phone number: (808) 725-5000

You can also call our old number, (808) 944-2200, which will provide a message with the new contact information for 60 days after the relocation. New direct phone numbers will be available from the NOAA directory at: https://nsd.rdc.noaa.gov/nsd/search after March 15.

During our move to the IRC you may experience some delays in response to inquiries. We will do our best to mitigate the impact of our move and ask for your patience. Please contact us via our email or cell phone numbers during this period.

Consolidation of NOAA offices at the IRC will improve mission effectiveness, increase collaboration, and improve cost efficiency. The new facility will save an estimated
$3 million annually in operating expenses and, with its sustainable design, reduce energy consumption by about 50 percent. With the new features the IRC provides combined with the advantages of integrating NOAA, we anticipate the new facility will greatly enhance our capabilities to accomplish our goals and fulfill our mission.

Aloha,

Mike Tosatto, Regional Administrator
